These are the haulage loads available on Freight1 right now, posted by UK shippers, forwarders and brokers. Filter by load type, collection town and trailer, open a load to see the route, dates and budget, and contact the poster directly to agree the job.
This page is for hauliers and owner-drivers looking for paid work or a return leg. Most loads are UK domestic moves, with a strong share of port container work. If you are mainly hunting return legs, our backloads guide shows how to plan them.
Use the filters to narrow the board to your trailer and route. New loads appear at the top.

Filter by load type
Each load sits in one of eight categories: containers, side-loader, refrigerated, part loads (LTL), full loads (FTL), flatbed, van and car transporter. Filtering first saves time: a 13.6m curtainsider can’t take a 40ft box, and a 3.5t van driver doesn’t need to see 44t work. Groupage (mixed consignments) is the largest single type of freight lifted by UK lorries, at about 24% of tonnage in 2024 (DfT), so part-load work is worth watching even if you mostly run full loads. Jump straight to container loads, full loads or part loads.
Filter by port
Type a port into the collection filter to see work leaving it. In 2025 Felixstowe handled about a third of UK container traffic, with traffic heading west on the A14. The London terminals (London Gateway and Tilbury) send most of theirs out via the A13 and M25. Southampton uses the M27 then the M3 or A34 north. Liverpool work runs out on the M57 and M62. Book your terminal slot before you commit: a cheap load is no use if there’s no slot for the box.
How to win a load
- Complete your profile. Shippers pick names they can check, so add your licence number, insurance and fleet before you message anyone.
- Filter tightly. Set trailer type and collection area so you only see work you can actually do.
- Be first, but be specific. Message quickly with your truck type, where you are now and the earliest collection time you can make.
- Confirm the details that change the price. Ask about waiting time, tail-lift or forklift on site, ADR, and whether the box is heavy.
- Agree it in writing. Put the rate, collection reference and any extras in the message thread so both sides have a record.
- Mark the job agreed and update tracking. Shippers remember the hauliers who kept them informed, and a confirmed delivery opens ratings.
Before you call the shipper
- Trailer and weight match the load
- Collection slot or booking reference confirmed
- Rate includes or excludes fuel and waiting time
- You have the delivery contact and opening hours
Frequently asked questions
Where can I find haulage loads available today in the UK?
Freight1 lists live loads posted by UK shippers, forwarders and brokers. Filter by load type and collection area, then contact the poster directly. Members see full contact details.
Which websites show live HGV loads with prices?
Many load boards hide the budget. On Freight1 shippers can show a guide budget on the load card, so you can judge whether a job pays before you pick up the phone.
How do I find container loads near me?
Choose the Containers category and type your nearest port or town into the collection filter. Skeletal and side-loader work out of Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway is posted most days.
How much does it cost to see full load details?
Browsing is open, but contact details need a membership: £51 per vehicle per week or £151 per month, after a 7-day free trial.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every account type gets 7 days of full access, including posting, contact details, messaging and tracking, with no payment up front. Add a card only if you decide to stay.
Find your next load
Filter the board, message early and agree the details in writing. If you have a truck sitting idle, post it as available so shippers can find you too.
